Applications for St Mary’s Sixth Form & Leadership Centre are welcome from Year 11 students already attending St Mary’s and Year 11 students who attend other schools

All students considering applying to St Mary’s are encouraged to attend our annual Sixth Form & Leadership Centre Open Evening. Students from other schools, are encouraged to visit St Mary’s to meet our staff and students and tour facilities.

Sixth Form & Leadership Centre Open Evening

The Sixth Form & Leadership Centre Open Evening for a September 2019 start will be on Wednesday 21st November 2018 from 5.30 – 8pm. A presentation will take place in the main hall at 6.30pm. There will also be the opportunity to visit subject areas before and/or after the presentation to talk to staff about the courses that are on offer in our Sixth Form. The following staff/organisations will be available for students and parents/carers to talk about progression pathways and career aspirations:

• Mrs Georgette Mathews – SMHS Director of Sixth Form
• Mrs Claire Scarisbrick – SMHS Careers Lead
• The SMHS Sixth Form Academic Tutor Team
• University of Hertfordshire
• YC Herts Personal Advisors (formerly known as Connexions PAs)

Open Mornings

Open Mornings for the Sixth Form will take place between 9 – 10.30am on:

• Wednesday 21st November 2018
• Friday 30th November 2018

Please ring our Administration Team on 01992 629124 to reserve a place.

The deadline for Sixth Form applications for places for September 2019 is Wednesday 5th December 2018. Interviews will begin on Monday 14th January 2019 after which offers for places will be made in writing.
