Professional Learning Programme (PLP)
‘Be what tomorrow needs’
PLP has been developed to ensure that post 16 students, involved in advanced level qualifications, are ready for the world of work once they complete their education. Students are often still trying to decide whether to continue into higher education, apply for intermediate or higher level apprenticeships or to seek employment with training, this programme helps them form their ideas.
At St Mary’s Sixth Form & Leadership Centre the Professional Learning Programme is in place to secure the futures of our students. We are now looking for forward thinking employers who will partner with us to deliver this exciting opportunity for your managers and leaders of the future. Our goal is to increase the number of employers involved with the programme. Our Sixth Form staff will work with the students to develop the competencies you need and evaluate each individual’s work with you. You may decide that successful students should become future employees with the skills and attributes you need for the future of your company.
The programme has resulted in better decision making among the participants, has provided employers access to students with developing workplace skills and provided an opportunity for the students to showcase previously hidden abilities. Your point of contact at the school is our Progression Manager, Mrs Emma Meads.
We invite you to take part in this exciting opportunity to shape employees and leads of the future.
Please contact Emma Meads for more information or to arrange an initial conversation.
