Homework

Homework is an essential part of how a student learns and retains knowledge and it provides more opportunity to practise the key skills that are needed to be a successful and independent learner

Year 7 & 8

This equates to 600 minutes or 10 hours of homework a fortnight, which is approximately 40 minutes homework a day.

Core subjects (English, maths and science) will set homework on a weekly basis whereas subjects such as French, Spanish, Technology, Geography and History will set fortnightly homework. For subjects that are taught once a week, homework may be set twice a term and may be more project based.
