KS4 Food Preparation & Nutrition | Exam Board: AQA (8585)
Food Preparation & Nutrition encourages students to design and make a range of products that develop a range of high end manufacture skills and develop creativity. Students will follow a range of design and manufacture briefs that further develop design, analysis and manufacture skills in preparation for industry. Over the two years students will cover the 5 key topics through a range of mini projects:
To gain the GCSE qualification, students complete the following assessments:
- Written paper (Theory knowledge) – 1hr 45 mins – 50%
- Non-exam Assessment 1 (Food investigation) – 15%
- Non-exam Assessment 2 (Design & Make task) – 35%
