Health and Social Care is taught at KS4 and KS5. We are looking for the inspirational candidate who will lead the subject, focusing on strengthening the good foundations that are in place to help take the school to the next level. This will include developing and delivering the curriculum, as well as supporting the development of teaching and learning within the subject, which is part of the Technology Team. You will also play a significant part, as a leader in supporting the development of the school’s culture and climate.

Teaching Apprenticeships

There is also an opportunity for those with a good degree to complete their teaching qualification (PGCE) as ‘on the job’ training. Candidates would be employed as an unqualified teacher whilst completing a teaching apprenticeship to gain their qualification. Professional support in school will be provided by a subject mentor as well as from our Lead Teacher team.

This is a fabulous opportunity to get into teaching whilst working at the same time.

Teacher of English (ability to teach Media Studies desirable), would suit ECT or experienced. This post is to start September 2024.

The successful candidate would be part of the English & MFL Teaching and Learning Area. If you are able to teach Media Studies, that is desirable; we currently offer Media Studies at Post-16.
