We are incredibly proud to celebrate the continued success of our Student Wellbeing Ambassador Programme. This year, we have welcomed a new group of ambassadors who join our experienced team of student leaders trained over previous years, further strengthening our commitment to student wellbeing across the school.

The programme is helping to ensure that every form group has a wellbeing representative who can promote positive mental health, raise awareness of available support, and help students feel connected and heard. Ambassadors play an important role in encouraging peers to seek help from trusted adults when needed and helping to create a culture where wellbeing is openly discussed and valued.

Led by our Year 13 Wellbeing Prefect and supported by dedicated Year 12 leaders, Year 10 mentors and Year 8 and 9 representatives, the programme gives students opportunities to develop leadership, empathy and responsibility while making a genuine difference to school life.

The students involved are fantastic role models, showing empathy, responsibility and a willingness to help create a more supportive environment for everyone. Their enthusiasm reflects the caring community we are proud to foster, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact they continue to make throughout the year.

A huge well done to all of our Wellbeing Ambassadors for helping to make our school a place where everyone feels supported, respected and able to thrive.

Over the past two days, our school choir, ‘Phoenix Singers’, supported three children’s Harvest Services at St Albans Cathedral alongside Mr Crosby and Mrs Turner. The services, led by Bishop Jane from the St Albans Diocese, brought together hundreds of children from local church primary schools across the diocese. Together, we heard the Parable of the Rich Fool (Luke 12:16–21), and shared in prayer and song. The ‘Phoenix Singers’ were a real credit to the school and to the staff accompanying them. Their wonderful singing, and energy, earned many compliments from children, staff from other schools and clergy. It is always a pleasure to be invited to lead these very special services, and we are incredibly proud of our young performers.
