St Mary’s High School is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, Science & Technology Technician, to join this dynamic school supporting the Snr Science Technician and Head of Science.

You will play a role in the delivery of practical’s and any other curriculum provision delivery. You will also provide support for teaching staff and students and ensure that subject working areas and working practice remains compliant with health and safety requirements.

Ideally you will have a L3 /A level scientific qualification or qualifications involving aspects of Science

We require individuals to work on a casual basis during our busy external and internal examination periods and at other various times throughout the year. Each session will be up to a maximum of 3.5 hours and you will be in charge of co-ordinating the conduct of the examinations within the exam venues including the supervision of students taking exams and the supervision of exam invigilators.

Although lengths and start time for exams vary the start time for a morning exam could be 8.30 finishing at 12.00 and the start time for an afternoon exam could be 13.30 finishing at 17.00.

At least two years experience of working as an exam invigilator is required but training will be provided.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified counsellor to join our school, to provide counselling to individuals and groups of young people from Year 7 through to Year 13, and to support staff colleagues if required. You will hold a BACP accredited Diploma (level 4) or post-graduate diploma/certificate or Masters level in Counselling and will be able to provide a caring and supportive environment, where concerns can be explored safely. St Mary’s High School is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and innovative Finance Manager, to deliver effective financial operations, planning, monitoring and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a high level of initiative with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Reporting to the School Business Manager/CFO you will undertake this important position to support the school with its long-term strategic aims as well as look to modernise and streamline processes.

The post is for 37 hours per week and 52 weeks a year (but we would consider term time, 38 + 5 weeks, for the right candidate). There is a requirement to work the last week in August for Year End.
