Student Fund
The Governors would like to thank all parents/carers who have made a donation/donations to this important fund. It is right that these parents/carers be recognised for their considerable commitment to supporting the School. It is important to emphasise that these funds are not used to buy basic equipment and books that the School provides for students as part of the day to day curriculum provision. The Student Fund money is used to buy extra equipment such as a specialised piece of science or technology equipment or to pay for a speaker or theatre company to visit the school to enrich teaching and learning. These are the resources and activities that our students find make learning more exciting and as such help students to attain higher standards. Whilst it is acknowledged that the present economic situation presents some challenges for all families, parents/carers are asked to consider if they are able to make any donation to this fund to enrich further the opportunities the School can make available for our children. Although the suggested donation is £50 per year, any donation, no matter how large or small, will be welcome and used carefully. The School can further benefit by approximately 28% of a donation if the donor is a tax payer. If a parent/carer would like us to benefit from this scheme they will need to complete and sign the declaration included on the donation form (link below) and we can claim back the tax paid on the donation. Further information about tax relief is available by contacting the Finance Office. On behalf of the school the community, the governors would like to extend their thanks and appreciation for donations made to the school to support our work with students. Click below for the Donation Form If anyone has links with business partners or companies who may be willing to support the School in this way, please contact a Finance Officer at the school on 01992 629124.This fund is used to provide special resources or support activities that the school would not normally be able to provide through the standard school funding.
