Careers, Education & Guidance
St Mary’s Sixth Form has a comprehensive Careers Education programme.
Sixth Formers start their Post 18 Careers journey early in year 12, using UNIFROG (a complete destinations platform invested in by the school). Students are supported to explore different careers, University courses, apprenticeships and employment.
All Year 12 students take part in a week’s work shadowing. Students are encouraged to source their own placement in a work place that will support their future career, UCAS application and CV.
Year 13 students are guided with UCAS applications and personal statements whilst those not planning on going to University receive preparation for apprenticeships and employment through CV work, LinkedIn and interview preparation.
